4 September 2026 · Agentic Hire
What does a recruitment agency charge in the UK?
A typical UK permanent recruitment fee is 15–25% of salary. Agentic Hire charges a flat 8%. On a £30,000 salary that is £2,400 versus £4,500–£7,500. No placement, no fee. We recruit across Cheshire and the North West.
That 8% is the same for any role and any level — no retainer, no advertising surcharge, and no extra bill if the hire is senior or hard to fill.
How the numbers compare
| Starting salary | Typical agency (15–25%) | Agentic Hire (8%) |
|---|---|---|
| £30,000 | £4,500–£7,500 | £2,400 |
| £40,000 | £6,000–£10,000 | £3,200 |
| £50,000 | £7,500–£12,500 | £4,000 |
You pay when the person starts, not when we send CVs. If we do not fill the role, the work costs you nothing. Read what no placement, no fee means, or upload a vacancy and we will email you within one working day.
What you get for 8%
Every CV is read in full — not keyword-skimmed — and scored against your role. A human recruiter then shortlists. Employers in Chester, Crewe, Warrington and the rest of Cheshire and the North West use the same fee.
Live roles are on our jobs page. Candidates can send a CV at agentichire.co.uk. Email contact@agentichire.co.uk.
