What does no placement, no fee mean?

You pay nothing until the person we introduced starts. Shortlists and screening are free if we do not fill the role.

That is the whole arrangement. There is no retainer, no advertising invoice, and no charge for CVs you decide not to interview. If the search stops, you owe nothing.

When the 8% is due

The fee is a flat 8% of the starting salary, payable when the person starts — the same rate for every role. On a £30,000 salary that is £2,400, not the £4,500–£7,500 a typical 15–25% agency would bill. See what a recruitment agency charges.
